Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora (Czech Republic)

August, 2002

Church of St John of Nepomuk
Baroque Gothic, an original architectonic style, is presented at this funeral church of St. John from Nepomuk in Zelená Hora. It was built at the end of sXVIII, according to the plans of Jan Blažej Santini. The style was born in Bohemia seventy years before as a result of modification of gothic elements to a purely Baroque style. The plan is a shape of five pointed star, and lies surrounded by a quiet graveyard.
